Tourist figures for November up by 8.3%

Latest figures about the number of tourists who visited Malta during November show an increase of 8.3% when compared to November of last year.

Figures released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) show that over 191,000 tourists visited Malta during November, of which 24,000 came over for business.

Nights spent by visitors in Malta increased by 9%, and two out of every three visitors stayed in hotels. According to NSO figures, tourists spent 136 million euro in Malta during November, 10% more than in November 2018.

During the first eleven months of last year, Malta welcomed over 2.6 million visitors, an increase of 5.3% when compared to the same period in 2018.

Visitors spent 814 euro per capita during their Malta holiday, a marginal 0.4% reduction when compared to 2018.
