While addressing a news conference, U.S. President Donald Trump had to be escorted out by Secret Service agents after shootings outside the White House.

President Trump later told reporters present that members of the Secret Service shot at a suspect who was armed. He said the situation was under control and that the agent who had fired the shots and the suspect were taken to the Hospital for treatment.

Trump told the media he did not know what the suspect’s intentions were but said the world had always been a dangerous place and would continue to be dangerous.
