Trump orders investigation on tax which France may introduce on giant tech companies

US President Donald Trump has ordered an investigation into the tax which France is planning to introduce on giant tech companies.

According to the American President this may lead to retaliatory tariffs.

Trade representatives said that the US is concerned about the tax on digital services which will unfairly hit American companies.

This tax is expected to be approved by the French Parliament later on today. The tax will hit huge companies such as Google and Facebook.

The tax is aimed at every digital company whose income is more than 750 million Euro, out of which at least 25 million Euro would have been generated in France.
