Turkey: Erdogan vows to save Turkish sea of Marmara from pollution

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has vowed to save the Turkish sea of Marmara from pollution. A thick layer of dirt is spreading rapidly to the south coast of Istanbul and is threatening maritime life and the fishing industry.

The cause of this pollution is still unknown, although climate change and pollution appear to be the main causes of this pollution in the sea.

Officials from the Ministry of the Environment met on Sunday to draw up an action plan aimed at protecting this sea.
