Tusk appeals to Trump to respect his allies

The President of the European Council Donald Tusk has appealed to the American administration of Donald Trump to respect and appreciate his allies.

Tusk was speaking after the EU and NATO signed a joint declaration aimed to strengthen their military co-operation. While Tusk pointed out that the US does not have many allies any more, he emphasized that although money is important, genuine solidarity is much more important. He added that he hopes that President Trump will keep this in mind when the next NATO summit meets between today and tomorrow.
