Twenty people dead after blaze off Santa Cruz, California

Twenty corpses were found in the ocean after a boat was engulfed in flames off the coast of California, in the United States.

Nine people are still missing and five crew members managed to escape.

According to reports, the boat was anchored metres off Santa Cruz Island, about 145 kilometers west of Los Angeles. So far the cause of the fire is unknown.

The news conference stated that when the fire engulfed the boat there were 39 people on board.
