Two accidents within hours of each other during Gozo horse races

The horses races held in Gozo  yesterday were the scene of two accidents which happened within the space of three hours.

After a woman was reported to have been run over by a horse at 8pm, at around 10.30pm, another incident happened when a horse bolted and charged into the crowd.

TVM is informed that around 7 people were injured in the second incident, however their condition is not yet known. After this incident, the horse races were stopped.

The Police have confirmed that another incident had occurred but at this stage they were not in a position to go into more details.
