Two hospitalised following five-vehicle collision in Ħal Luqa

Two persons were taken to Mater Dei Hospital, and a third person has been taken to Kirkop Polyclinic, following a five-vehicle collision at Luqa at about 3.00 p.m.

The driver of a Ford Escort car appears to have lost control, resulting in the car impacting with the two vehicles ahead of it. As a result, two other cars crashed into the two cars involved in the collision.

The accident occurred just past the Kirkop Tunnels, in the direction of the airport roundabout.

It appears the driver and passenger in the Ford Escort were the injured parties taken to hospital for treatment. At this stage, their condition is as yet not known.
