Young man in danger of dying and another seriously injured after being run over by a vehicle in B’Kara

Two men were injured in the early hours of this morning after being run over by a vehicle in B’Kara.

The incident happened at around 1.30am when the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Dun Karm, Birkirkara.

The District Police went immediately on the scene where, from a preliminary investigation it resulted that the two men, one aged 20, resident in Fgura, and one aged 28, resident in San Ġwann, for some reason were run over by a Peugeot 2008 which was being driven by a 28-year-old man from Mqabba.

An ambulance was called to the scene and the men were taken to Mater Dei for treatment. Later on, the 20-year-old was certified to have sustained serious injuries while the 28-year-old was certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Duty Magistrate Ian Farruġia appointed various experts to assist him in his inquiry.

Police investigations continue.
