Two young people grievously injured after crashing into pole in Marsascala

A young man and woman were grievously injured late last night after they are involved in a car accident. The Police were informed of the accident which occurred in Triq id-Daħla ta’ San Tumas, Marsascala at around 11.00pm.

From the initial investigations, the District Police established that the young man, 20, a resident of Siggiewi, probably lost control of his vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf, and crashed into a lighting pole.

He was taken to Mater Dei, along with the young woman, aged 20, from Għaxaq who was a passenger in the car with him.

The Police investigation continues.
