Two youths to offer themselves for priesthood

Sean Abela from the St Paul’s Parish in Rabat and Jean Claude Attard from St Anne’s Parish in Marsaskala will be offering themselves to the Church to become priests.

The two seminarians, who are in the fifth year of preparation at the Archbishop’s seminary, will ask Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna to accept them officially as candidates for the Diaconate and Priesthood Ordination. The celebration will be held tomorrow Sunday during the Epiphany Mass at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta at 9.15am.

The Curia said that while welcoming the seminarians with joy, Archbishop Scicluna will call on them to ensure that during the remaining years prior to their ordination, they will prepare themselves to worthily receive Holy Order. The Christian Community is being encouraged to pray for the two candidates for priesthood.
