U.K. wants to attract foreign workers for hospitals

The UK’s National Health Service is expected to launch a big campaign to attract foreign workers.

Reports said that a strategy has been drafted aimed at workers in the health sector, even in poor countries outside Europe.

The campaign emanated from the fact that the NHS is estimated that it will need 5,000 new nurses each year, amounting to triple the number of what the health service is currently employing.

Currently, some 12% of workers in the health sector are non-Britons and although the biggest number of foreigners hail from EU countries, there is a good change that the situation changes.
