U.S. embassy in Jerusalem will bring great strife in region- Palestinian representative

The Palestinians consider Jerusalem as the city where one feels free and may openly practice his religion. This was stated by the acting Head of the Palestinian Embassy in Malta, Fadi Hanania, in comments to TVM while reacting to the opening of the American embassy in Jerusalem.

He added that the decision to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, despite a breach of international law, will bring great strife in the Middle East. The Palestinians are hoping that the international community will take steps so peace will continue to reign in the region.
