UK: vaccine certificate won’t be mandatory for mass events or entry into discotheques

In the UK, people will not be required to present a vaccine certificate to enter nightclubs or attend mass events.

The plan was to make the vaccination certificate mandatory in mass activities by the end of the month. This plan has been fiercely criticized, even by the entertainment industry.

Health Minister Sajid Javid said the Government changed its mind after looking at the scientific evidence.

Next week the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, will announce plans to control the pandemic and other viruses, including the flu, in the winter months.

The Minister for Health expressed the wish that as soon as possible passengers returning to the United Kingdom will no longer be required to take a swab test when they arrive in the country.
