Under-age youth arrested in connection with cocaine and ecstasy find in Paola

An operation by Anti-Drug Squad Police officers yesterday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old youth from Vittoriosa, as well as two females from Kirkop, aged 21 and 26 years respectively, during an entertainment activity in Paola.

The arrests were made in the wake of a find of a number of ecstasy tablets and sachets containing white powder suspected as being cocaine in circumstances which indicated the drugs were not for their exclusive use.

Police investigations are ongoing, and these persons are expected to be arraigned in Court in the coming days to face charges, among others, relating to aggravated possession of cocaine and ecstasy.
