Unemployment drops by 9.3% in one year

JobsPlus figures released by the National Statistics Office show that when compared with March of 2018, unemployment has dropped by 182, being 9.3%. Compared with the previous month, the number of persons registering for work in March this year has dropped by 57.

The National Statistics Office adds that in a twelve-month period, unemployment has dropped in all categories, with the biggest reduction being among those who had been seeking employment for over one year.

The number of disabled persons registering for work has dropped by 67 in a 12-month period, and there are now 219 disabled persons still seeking employment.
