UPDATE: Bulgarian youth released on police bail – autopsy found no signs of violence on Meli

Bulgarian youth, Denis Davkov, was released on police bail as Police are continuing with investigations on the case of Zack Meli, who died on Sunday early morning at Paceville. Davkov was arrested yesterday in connection with Meli’s death. The 19-year old Bulgarian, who lives in Sliema, allegedly punched Meli during an argument.TVM is informed that before the incident between the Bulgarian and the Maltese youth occurred, video footage showed Zack Meli was not in his senses and even seemed to stumble. Earlier, this site had revealed that the autopsy on the corpse of the 24-year old Swieqi youth – who died on Sunday morning – found that there were no signs of violence on his body.

TVM is informed that more specialized tests, including toxicological ones, will be made to determine the exact cause of his death. For now, Meli’s corpse cannot be released for burial.
