UPDATED: DJ plays from Mosta church

Another controversy on social media relates to Mosta church and to music played from within. A video clip doing the rounds on social media and made by MYNT shows DJ A/P playing music inside the church.

The clip, which was removed from Facebook a few hours after it had been posted, did not go down well with everyone. Some argued that the house of God should not be used for this sort of activity. What are your views on this issue?

Meanwhile,  a spokesman for the company which produced the music video explained that the aim had been to get the public closer to the country’s cultural heritage, and this through organising events in venues linked to cultural heritage. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and with events not being held, this company took the initiative to organise live events, with the aim of continuing to display the beauty of the Maltese Islands. As for the choice of music played in Mosta church, the spokesman said it was praise for the Catholic religion rather than profane.
