UPDATED: Man dies from electric shock in Carnival warehouse

A 45-year-old Maltese man from Hamrun has died after receiving an electric shock in a Carnival warehouse in Marsa this afternoon.

The Police were notified about the accident, which occurred at Jetties Wharf, shortly after 4.00 p.m.

An ambulance was summoned to the scene, but the man was declared dead on site.

The man was probably working on a float for the Summer Carnival when he received the shock, as a result of which he may have fallen from a height.
