Prince Philip escaped unhurt during a car collision. Buckingham Palace said that the 97-year old Duke of Edinburgh was unhurt in the accident which occurred in Sandringham.
It appears that Prince Philip was driving a Range Rover when he collided with another car as he exited a lane, with the consequence that his car overturned. Persons on site assisted the Prince to be released from the vehicle until Police arrived. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said the Duke of Edinburgh suffered great shock but was unhurt.
The Duke and Queen Elizabeth II have been living in Sandringham since Christmas and the Prince did not join the Royal Family for Christmas Day events.
Prince Philip retired from public activities in August 2017 and last April he underwent a loin surgery.
