USA: Concern about weekend protests prior to Joe Biden inauguration

All American states are on alert following concern about protests during the weekend before the official inauguration of Joe Biden next Wednesday as the 46th U.S. President.

National Guard troops  around the U.S. were sent to Washington DC in case they need to intervene during possible protests.

The FBI received reports that these protests are planned by supporters of Donald Trump.

President-elect Joe Biden has called on Americans not to travel to Washington to attend the new Presidency celebrations, both due to the coronavirus pandemic and also to avoid confrontations between rival supporters.
