USA: Mother arrested for leaving her children inside a locked car while shopping

Police in Maryland received a phone call asking for help to save seven children who were locked inside a parked car while their mother was shopping.

The children aged between two and four years managed to dial 911 after having been locked inside their mother’s car for more than half an hour.

One child told the police that the car had its windows shut and they were feeling hot.

A few minutes later, help was sent to the children who were in the car park of a shopping mall.

It appears that the call for help was placed by the eldest son, 4, and the police managed to trace where the car was parked through the mobile signal.

The mother returned to the car about 10 minutes after the police arrived and was arrested for leaving her children inside a locked in a car for more than 30 minutes.
