Valletta Waterfront restaurant engulfed in flames

Clients were evacuated from a Valletta Waterfront restaurant on Friday evening after its kitchen was engulfed in flames. The incident occurred at around 10.00pm when a fire broke out at a section of the kitchen and it spread around.

Firemen of the Civil Protection department were immediately called on site, evacuated the place and spent some two hours to control the flames.

Enemalta officers were also on site to foresee the protection of electricity service in the vicinity, while a Police spokesperson said that no one was hurt in the incident.

A person who was with family members at the restaurant said that the management evacuated all clients in time before the restaurant was completely on fire.
