Vegetable shop employee used employer’s password to steal money

Klinsmann Grech, 26, was placed under a probation order for six months and was ordered to pay back all the money he stole from his employer at a vegetable shop in San Ġwann.

Grech pleaded guilty to stealing more than €2,300 from his employer Pauline Sant, who owns the shop  ‘Frisk tal-Bidnija’.

He did this by using her password to access accounts on the computer, from which he managed to withdraw money for himself.

When handing down the sentence, the Court, presided over by Magisrate Antonio Micallef Trigona, took into consideration the probation officer’s report and the fact that Grech had already reached an agreement with his employer to pay back the money he had stolen.
