Venice submerged by the highest tide in fifty years

The local government of the Veneto region sank shortly after it refused to take measures on climate change.
The offices where local government hold meetings are a short distance away from the Venice Grand Canal, which for the first time in history, has sunk like most establishments, homes and museums in the region.
Floods have brought the city of Venice to its knees after the floods reached record levels never before seen in the city in the last 50 years.
It seems that the rooms sunk a few minutes after a meeting was concluded where the use of renewable resources was being negotiated.
