Video: Armed Forces rescue farmer and two firemen trapped in Burmarrad field

Two firemen and an elderly farmer were rescued by an Armed Forces helicopter this morning from a flooded field in Burmarrad.

tvm.com.mt is informed that at about 11.00 a.m. when the rain was pouring down, two firemen went to assist an elderly farmer who was trapped in his vehicle. When they got to him, however, the firemen found themselves in difficulties and called for assistance. At this point, help was requested from the Armed Forces and a helicopter was dispatched to the scene and rescued both the elderly farmer and the two firemen who had gone to assist.

A fire tender and two ambulances were also called out to the area.
