VIDEO: Exception announced so that wearing of masks at the beach will no longer be enforceable by law

The Deputy PM and Health Minister Chris Fearne said that an exception will be made so that the use of masks at the beach will no longer be enforceable by law.

Although he said wearing a mask was recommended, a wet mask is not practical or effective and therefore this exception is being made.

He said that the use of masks will remain mandatory elsewhere because this is helping the country to relax other measures as was announced earlier during the same press conference.
