UPDATED: Elderly man in Pietà fall in danger of dying

A 77-year-old man, a resident of San Ġwann, fell from a height of over one storey in Clarence Street, Pietà, and is in danger of dying.

The incident occurred at about 12.15 pm this afternoon.

On-site sources said the man had fallen when he was viewing his son’s garage and had gone in without a torch.

The man was transferred by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital after being administered First Aid. He was certified as having been injured seriously.

Duty Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo ordered an Inquiry while Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
