Video: Start of trials for weekend airshow

A number of aircraft taking part in this year’s Malta International Airshow were practicing today in preparation for the weekend’s aerial spectacular.

The weekend airshow is much awaited, also because of the fact that it has not been held for the past four years.

No less than 55 aircraft and helicopters from various European air forces will be taking part, including the famed Royal Air Force Red Arrows, whose last participation in the airshow goes back seven years.

This year’s airshow includes aircraft that will be visiting Malta for the first time, as well as others coming here for possibly the last time.
