Volunteers and police officers join forces to clean ‘l-Aħrax tat-Tunnara’

A number of volunteers and police officers on Thursday joined hands to clean the l-Aħrax tat-Tunnara area.

The initiative was the idea of councillor Rebecca Bartolo Cutajar who encouraged a number of volunteers in a bid to keep the Mellieħa locality clean.

A number of police officers in the community joined the volunteers in a new concept launched two days ago in which members of the Force will be closer to Mellieħa residents so that, together with residents, businesses and local organisation, they assist to reduce crime and maintain good order in the locality.

Mellieħa mayor, Dario Vella, thanked those who showed interests and participated in the event at the locality.
