“Walk on Water” – Malta’s song for Eurovision 2016

Walk on Water will be the song with which Ira Losco will represent Malta in the 61st Edition on the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm in May.

The song Walk on Water has been chosen after a selection process  by 13 juries made up of local music experts and professionals in the international music industry during February and March. The juries listened to and analysed ten songs, nine new compositions and the song Chameleon. Walk on Water was the net favourite to represent Malta in Stockholm.

The presentation of the new song will take place on Thursday during the 8.00 p.m. news bulletin on TVM. The song will be broadcast during a special edition of the Xarabank programme this Friday, with the participation of Ira Losco.

The video of Ira’s new song was recorded last week at the Malta National Aquarium and at various locations in Gozo.

PBS has confirmed with tvm.com.mt that the song had been submitted to the European Broadcasting Union over the weekend.
