WARNING: Even these products may be contaminated

The Directorate for Environmental Health is informing the public that following information received by the companies concerned, the following products, as well those mentioned on 6 July 2018, should not be consumed because it cannot be excluded that they have been contaminated by the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.

Attention is drawn to the fact that if these products have been cooked well, this bacteria dies and although Listeriosis is a serious illness, the risk decreases considerably. For more information visit the site: http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/listeriosis/en/

For more information, the public can phone the Health Inspectorate Services on 2133 7333 from 8am to 2.30pm or send an email on [email protected] The public can also go personally to the office of the Directorate which is located at Continental Business Centre, Old Railway Track, Santa Venera.
