WATCH: Atmosphere in the streets following the results

The celebrations in the streets and in front of the PL headquarters began as soon as the provisional electoral results for the European Parliament were announced a few moments ago.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that the result reflects the biggest majority in the history of the country, as the majority now stands at 48,000.
