A six-year-old infant was admitted to hospital with slight injuries to the head following a traffic accident in St Vincent Street, Sliema.
Eyewitnesses told tvm.com.mt that the accident happened at around 9,30am this morning when the mother came out of her residence carrying the baby in her arms, and a a truck passed by, hitting the baby with its sideview mirror.
The infant was admitted to Mater Dei for treatment, but her condition is still not known. However, according to the same eyewitnesses it does not seem that the baby suffered serious injuries except for a bump to the head.
The road is closed to traffic as Police carry out their investigations.
