Public Health Superintendent Charmaine Gauci stated that according to their plans, it is being estimated that weddings will start being held on 1 June, with mitigation measures.
Professor Gauci explained that a couple can invite a number of guests based on the size of the venue. The Superintendent added that there can not be more than one person for every four square metres of area. There can be a maximum of 100 persons in an indoor venue, with the number going up to 300 if the venue is outdoors.
The Superintendent further stated that weddings will follow the protocols set out for restaurants, with bars and buffets not being allowed.
Furthermore, masks will still have to be worn.
