A celestial spectacle savoured by Neapolitans has gone viral and has been enjoyed the world over.

Anyone watching the sunset in the Italian city of Naples last Friday could see the moon appearing to emerge from the Vesuvius volcano. This unique show was filmed directly from Caffe’Gambrinus in Naples and posted on its Facebook page.

Many witnessed this natural phenomenon which sparked a huge reaction as could be evidenced by the hundreds of comments underneath the video.
