WATCH: Dawra Tond – a strong Maltese dose in song for the Junior Eurovision

A strong dose of Malta and the Maltese accompanied by childhood that included traditional children folk-singing and songs, provided a distinctive aspect to the video of Dawra Tond song by 9-year old singer Gianluca Cilia who will represent Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Georgia next November.

The video, produced by PBS, which is responsible for Malta’s representation in the Junior Eurovision, shows the typical towns of Cospicua and Vittoriosa, and also the Maltese friendly character. Dawra Tond song has a lively message which also prevails in the video where various children participated to deliver the song’s message.

The song has lyrics by Emil Calleja Bayliss and music by Dominic Cini.
