Watch: Death and life … baby boy is born as Beirut explosion shatters hospital ward

They say that death waits for no one …clearly neither does life! A baby in Beirut was about to be born when the first explosion occurred two days ago, shattering the glass panes of the hospital ward.

The moment was captured by the baby’s father, who, at that time, happened to be filming his wife being brought into the ward to begin the process of childbirth.

Healthcare professionals continued to work on the birth in the ensuing chaos, where they were even forced to give birth to the baby without any light.

The father said that his son George was born strong and healthy, and that he did not know how he could ever thank the health workers. He said he could not believe that he and his family were still alive.
