WATCH: Elton John forced to stop concert after he loses his voice

Internationally renowned singer Sir Elton John had to stop his concert in New Zealand after he lost his voice while he was up on stage.

Yesterday Elton John was singing in Auckland as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, and managed to sing a few of his popular songs, including Candle in the Wind.

However, he was forced to stop suddenly during the song Daniel when he lost his voice due to a serious lung infection.

He was visibly emotional when he got up from the piano and apologised to the public, with the numerous crowd breaking into applause and shouting words of encouragement.

Sir Elton John was scheduled to sing in another two concerts next week.
