WATCH: Flight disrupted because of fight on aircraft

A fight which ensued half way through a flight from Australia’s Gold Coast to Singapore resulted in the pilot having to make an emergency landing in Sydney.

A passenger posted a video clip on social media, stating that after they became aware that their flight was to be delayed, a man started drinking and ended up drunk.

When the flight took off from the Gold Coast, 20 minutes into the flight the man became aggressive and started punching another passenger. Although members of the crew tried to restrain the unruly passenger, it was other passengers who managed to stop the fight.

About two hours into the flight, it was decided that the aircraft should be re-routed and land in Sydney, where the man was taken off the plane and arrested. Arrangements were made for the other passengers to continue with their journey on another flight.
