WATCH: French war planes drop 20 bombs on ISIS in Syria

French war planes have dropped 20 bombs on the city of Raqqa in Syria which is under the control of the Islamic State (ISIS). According to the French Defense Minister, the planes hit the centre of the Jihadist training camp and the warehouse where the extremist group stores its weapons.

A speaker for the Ministry described the attack as “heavy” and the largest which French has ever launched against Syria. ISIS is insisting that Raqqa is the capital of the so-called caliphate.

The bombing was launched from an air base in the United Arab Emirates and from Jordan, and involved 12 French war planes which are stationed at the base.

This air strike follows the terrorist attacks which took place on Friday in the French capital in which 132 people died.

The IS militants, who took responsibility for the attacks, said that the massacre by means of gunfire and bombs were carried out in places such as bars, restaurants, concerts and other places where lots of people meet.
