WATCH: From the school desk to Junior Eurovision

Eliana Gomez Blanco is expected to leave for Poland in four days’ time, to represent the Maltese Islands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘We Are More’.

Scores of students in the bloom of youth, together with the Head of St Joseph Secondary School in Blata l-Bajda, where Eliana is a student, this morning gave Eliana an enthusiastic welcome and wished her well for this adventure. Eliana is presently going through final preparations before leaving to represent us away from our shores.

This year is the 18th edition of the festival, and 19 countries, including Malta, will be taking part.

In the Junior Eurovision anyone can vote online for his country’s song. One can vote for between three and five songs.

The festival will be broadcast on TVM on 24 November.
