WATCH: Government contributes €15,000 to L-Istrina

The Government has contributed 15,000 euro as a donation and contribution to the organisation which continuously assists those in need.

President George Vella and Prime Minister Joseph Muscat were present for the L-Istrina feast of generosity and solidarity.

The Prime Minister stated that the MCCF is an extension of the Maltese state, in terms of what can jointly be offered. Through taxes, the Government will be paying for much of the treatment for patients in need.

Despite this, Dr Muscat stated, some patients encounter problems because of legal parameters or difficult situations. In such circumstances, the Prime Minister added, the MCCF helps patients by covering for particularly difficult periods.

President George Vella expressed the wish that this edition of L-Istrina would highlight more cases of patients which ended successfully.
