Watch: Have you ever seen anything like this?

Children who were having fun on a beach in South Africa came across something they are sure to remember forever.

A squid of the species Architeuthis dux – 4 meters long and weighing about 200 kilograms was spotted on the sand at Brittania Baai.

A squid of this size is very rare to see because they live in very deep water, sometimes up to a thousand metres deep.

The first known photograph of this living species was taken in 2004.

Just found this 4m squid on the beach. How I wish I can just pull it back to sea. Nature.
