WATCH: Helicopter’s dramatic manoeuvre to rescue persons on French Alps

Footage of a rescue operation on the French Alps last week showed the skills of a pilot who nose dived his helicopter in an unusual manoeuvre to uplift a skier was injured.

The manoeuvre, known as skate support, was used to save time as the weather was worsening and the rescue operation would have been more difficult.

The helicopter is seen landing exactly near the skiers, while its propeller nearly missed hitting the snow.
