Watch how Peter is bringing in revenue for Malta’s treasury

Peter is one of the dogs at the Customs canine unit which is helping to increase revenue for Malta’s treasury.  Undeclared cash which goes through the Malta International Airport or other items such as cigarettes on which no duty has been paid is discovered by mean of these sniffer dogs.

This morning, Peter the dog was a guest at the TVM studies together with his handler, Customs officer Hilary Fenech, who explained how the dog draws the attention of officials only when there is a large amount of cash, although the dog smells small amounts of cash as well.
