This morning the Police continued with their investigations into the case of the car bomb in Fgura which did not explode despite being activated.
The bomb was found last night attached to an SUV which was parked in St Anthony street. Suspicions were allegedly aroused when someone heard a noise and saw a spark coming out from underneath the vehicle.
A crew from TVM this morning noted the Police knocking on doors in the area where the car was parked with the aim of collecting as much information as possible which could be useful to their investigation.
In the place where the car was parked a considerable amount of engine oil could also be seen (see photo).
TVM has learned that the vehicle, a Mitsubishi Shogun, had been parked in this street for several days and that the target of car bomb may have been Gozitan businessman, Mario Scicluna.
