WATCH: Man caught eating food ordered by client for delivery

An Indian employee ended up being the talk of the town after he was caught opening and eating from the takeaway boxes which had been ordered for delivery and then closing them again before taking them to the client.

A video taken in Madurai, in Southern India, shows the man wearing a Zomato T-shirt, which is a popular app in India for takeaway food ordered with delivery.

At first many were angry, and the company fired him. However, when Zomato sacked him, public reaction changed and people started to feel sorry for him.

Many said that deliverymen work long hours in difficult conditions for low pay. This type of work has become very popular in India, however, the working condtiions are very poor.
