WATCH: Mayor tied to vehicle and dragged along road which was left unfinished

11 people who live in Chiapas, Mexico, were arrested after the town’s Mayor was forcefully manhandled out of his office, tied to a pick up truck and dragged along the surrounding roads.

Mayor Jorge Luis Escandón Hernández was rescued by tens of police and luckily did not suffer grievous injuries.

This was the second attack against this Mayor after he had promised to fix a road which was never fixed.

Many people and police officers were injured during the fight which broke out until the Mayor was rescued and taken to hospital.
