WATCH: Moments before and after the killing of Irish journalist

Irish police have published security cameras video footage which show the moments before 29-year old journalist, Lyra KcKee, was killed last Thursday.

McKee, who was reporting from Derry where violent protests were held, was hit by a firearm shot. The Police said that they consider the killing as a terrorist act.

A few moments before McKee was killed, she appears taking photographs and video with her mobile among the crowd. The suspected shooter was a hooded and armed man, who in the footage is seen emerging from behind a wall.

Other videos taken with a mobile of a person who was on site at the time of the shooting show the moments the shot was fired, with a group of persons seen laughing, however their expressions immediately changed when they realized something serious happened as they heard screaming.

A group of persons is also seen in the footage on the ground around McKee, who tried to give her first aid.
